Personal Care

Hands-on physical assistance with hygiene, mobility, and the activities of daily living, delivered with the dignity you would want for yourself.

What personal care covers

Personal care adds physical assistance to everything included in companion care. Caregivers are trained in safe transfer technique and infection control before they work with a client.

  • Bathing, showering, and grooming
  • Dressing and undressing
  • Toileting and incontinence care
  • Safe transfers, walking assistance, and repositioning
  • Feeding assistance and special diets
  • Range-of-motion exercises prescribed by a therapist
  • Fall prevention and home safety monitoring

Dignity is part of the training

Being helped in the bathroom is, for most adults, the hardest part of accepting care. Our caregivers are trained specifically on how to preserve privacy and control, explaining before acting, offering choices, and letting the client do everything they can still do themselves.

Coordinating with clinicians

Personal care is frequently ordered alongside home health or therapy. We coordinate with your physician, discharge planner, or hospice team so everyone is working from the same plan.
